Protect Your Smartphone's Headphone Jack with iCatchi

The only thing worse than pulling your smartphone out of your pocket and discovering it’s full of lint is discovering that the humidity has gotten inside your phone and triggered the liquid indicator inside. An Aussie startup called iCatchi is hoping to prevent both problems occurring by offering custom designed plugs to protect your headphone jack while not in use.
iCatchi tries to full its role as a protective device at the same time as offering a personal touch to your device. You can choose from a range of pre-designed patterns, from flags to emoticons, and in the near future you’ll also be able to create your own design (although these take a little bit longer to make).
Each plug costs $7.95, and includes a cable clip and free shipping. Given there’s a shape for most smartphones or tablets, it might be worth the investment the next time you’re heading to Asia in the summer…
